According to Misbah, Babar Azam is being "weakened."

It appears as though efforts are being made to "weaken" Babar Azam, the captain of the national cricket team, according to former captain and head coach of the Pakistan cricket team Misbah-ul-Haq.

"Everyone can witness the kind of press conferences being held these days and the kind of questions being addressed in these press conferences," Misbah-ul-Haq remarked in an interview with Geo News.

"If a choice needs to be made, it's ideal that all the parties involved—the players, the selection committee, and the board—sit down and reach an agreement that is workable for everyone involved."

The former captain also said that reviewing the situation holistically is the best course of action if adjustments to the setup are required.

"There is no harm in making changes if you believe they are necessary. However, every choice should be taken with Pakistan cricket's improvement in mind. Making decisions for any other purpose or in an effort to exert pressure on someone should be avoided as this will unsettle the entire team.

Further criticising the recent "experimentation" in the lineup chosen for the home series against England and New Zealand, the former head coach stated that "cricket is in my blood, so I stay current on the game wherever I am." I know what is happening.
